We recently conducted the corresponding workshop tests on a Ø3000 Howell-Bunger valve designed to work at a depth of 106 m.
The tests, with highly satisfactory results, were conducted under internal pressures of 10.6 bar (leak test) and 15.9 bar (stress test). The force exerted on the blind flange designed for testing during the stress test was over 1,100 tonnes of force.
The video we include shows the time the valve opens after the completing the tests.
Inhisa Hidráulica’s team rose to the challenge to design, calculate, fabricate and transport this equipment. The next step will be transfer to site for mounting and commissioning.
